Morgan Wynia

A note from Amanda:

Hi!! Please enjoy this sweet conversation with my friend(and client of I+W), Morgan.

I’m having such a great time learning more about the people who inspire us, and so far you all seem to be liking it too :) Thanks for being here!

“My flower arrangements speak to those who like something more organic and whimsical but still elevated.”

Morgan is a floral designer in Los Angeles. The first time I saw her work I audibly gasped! Every arrangement felt so thoughtfully put together, and unique. Morgan told me about how she winds down after a busy work week, finding inspiration in art and what she’s currently reading.

What service do you get at I+W?

Signature set! I love how natural they look. I don’t wear a ton of makeup in general and getting my lashes done is such an easy way to keep my look natural but with a little extra “oomph”. Amanda takes such good care of me and I always leave so happy.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

Simply making people happy on one of their most important days in their life. I love creating designs that are unique to the couple and their wedding. Knowing that the flowers made their day even better always means the world to me.

What’s on your nightstand?

I always have a candle and whatever I’m reading. I’m currently reading the “A Court of” series and I’m on the second book “A Court of Mist and Fury”. I’m completely obsessed with them. I’m also reading “Attached” to learn more about attachment theory. Sometimes I’ll have some flowers, too. :)

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we, as people whose work is about caring for others, is super rewarding but also quite tiring - do you have any rituals that help you unwind after a busy work week/day?

Lots of catching up on sleep and being horizontal for as long as I can helps after I’ve finished a wedding. I try to go to bed early during event weeks so I’m rested for each day of production. If I have some extra off time, I like to get massages. Snuggling my 3 dogs also helps.

Most beloved piece of clothing?

Any of my Doen dresses. I love feeling feminine and their styles speak to me the most.

How would you describe yourself/your work?

I design for weddings and events. My flower arrangements speak to those who like something more organic and whimsical but still elevated. I want each flower to have a moment to shine. I love Dutch still life paintings and English gardens. The rose garden at The Huntington Library always make me so happy in the spring time. I find a lot of my inspiration comes directly from nature and how different flowers grow.

How do we support you?

Instagram or TikTok! My flower account is @wildmuseforal on both.
