About Iris+West
Iris+West launched in 2015 in response to the myth that eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes (they don’t!) We provide clients with safe, thoughtful services that don’t sacrifice lash health for beauty, each custom–tailored to fit your personal aesthetic. We believe that beauty should feel accessible and fun, and that everyone deserves to feel like the best version of themselves.
Most of our clients learn of Iris+West through word of mouth — it’s almost like a society of smart, interesting women who are clued in on a secret (like the best recs often are.) Both the Iris+West team and our clients are people who are fervently going after their dreams, and being involved in their story in even a small way makes our work so meaningful.

Amanda
Hi! I’m Amanda Robinson (she/her), Iris+West’s founder. I grew up and began my career in the Pacific Northwest, but LA is the city I love most and call home. When I’m not working you can find me immersed in my other passions: doing pottery, going to the farmers market, and traveling (especially to places with amazing food.)
Now over a decade into working in the beauty industry, I truly believe in the positive impact of my craft as a lash and brow artist. I have a penchant for easy beauty regimes that ensure that Iris+West clients feel their best, and more importantly, themselves.
What’s “Iris+West”?
Iris — Iris, like your eye. We prioritize the beauty and safety of your eyes in all we do.
West — West was my mom’s last name and was chosen in memory of her.

Your go–to lash treatment? I love getting lash lifts! I love giving lash lifts!
Most likely playing…? The rotation usually goes between the Indie-sad-girls, Meg Thee Stallion, and incoherent punk songs.
Happy hour drink of choice? Bulleit bourbon on the rocks with a bowl of maraschino cherries I begged the bartender for.
Dream vacation? Way too many but I’ll pick one: Listening to the afternoon summer rain after a full day in Mexico City.

Your best–kept secret? You can fix an insane amount of things with duct tape.
Your go–to lash treatment? I enjoy lash extensions for special occasions and traveling and lash lifts for the everyday!
What movie/song do you know all the words to? This isn’t a movie or a song, but I have to admit I quote Spongebob Squarepants more than anything else in my life.
What’s your happy place? When I close my eyes and think of a specific happy view, it’s sitting on the front porch of the ranch my grandparents used to live at, watching the orioles bathe in the fountains and the quail feed on the seed. It’s the most peaceful place I’ve known.
